Terms of Use

This English translation is provided for reference only. The Japanese original is the binding version; if the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.

1. Application

These Terms of Use (these “Terms”) set out the conditions for using Shogi Analysis (the “App”; 将棋解析 in Japanese), provided by Yusuke Kurokawa, an individual developer (“we” or “us”). You use the App on the condition that you agree to these Terms.

2. Paid Plan

• The App offers an auto-renewing subscription (the “Paid Plan”). Its contents and price are shown on the purchase screen.
• Purchases and payments are made through the App Store or Google Play, and the terms of each store apply.
• If there is a free trial period, you will start being charged for the Paid Plan when the trial period ends.
• The Paid Plan automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel it. You can cancel it in each store’s settings. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, it will renew for the next period.
• If you cancel partway through a period, we will not refund the fee for that period. Refunds are subject to each store’s policies.
• Deleting your account in the App does not cancel the Paid Plan. Please cancel it in each store’s settings.
• With the Paid Plan, there is no limit on the number of times you can analyze game records or try what-if moves. However, if your use greatly exceeds normal use, for example through mass automated submissions by a program, we may restrict your use for that day.

3. Prohibited conduct

You must not do any of the following:

• Anything that violates laws or regulations, or public order and morals
• Unauthorized access to the App’s servers, placing excessive load on them, or anything else that interferes with our operation of the App
• Anything that infringes our rights or the rights of any third party

If you violate any of these, we may suspend your use of the App or delete your account without prior notice.

4. Changes to, suspension and termination of the service

We may change the contents of the App or suspend its provision. If we end the provision of the App, we will announce it in advance in the App or on this website.

5. Disclaimer

Analysis results shown by the App, such as evaluations, win rates and best moves, are estimates made by a shogi AI, and we do not guarantee their accuracy.

Except where caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, our liability for any damage you suffer in connection with your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid for the Paid Plan in the month in which the damage occurred.

6. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. If we do, we will give notice by posting the changed Terms and their effective date on this page. If you use the App on or after the effective date, you will be deemed to have agreed to the changed Terms.
